FUNDING INFORMATION

  • The Bright Ideas Trust is intended to help London-based young entrepreneurs aged 16-30, addressing the issue of first-time businesses. 
  •  B&Q Waste Donation Scheme throughout  all their UK stores.  B&Q donates unsaleable products, such as decorating materials. 
  •  The Austin and Hope Pilkington Trust awards grants to charitable organisations in the UK, working in areas with, music, children, youth, elderly, medical and community.  Closing date: 1 Nov 2011.
  • Team London Small Grants are available for voluntary sector organisations, who wish to increase the impact of their volunteering activities, to submit an expression of interest. Closing date: 15 Aug 2011.

Southwark Works IT Apprenticeships

Southwark Works are recruiting for IT Apprenticeships in London where young people, will be working with the latest Microsoft technologies and have exposure to the ERM/CRM technologies and have the opportunity to become a Microsoft Certified Professional.   Applicants should have:

Bright Ideas Trust (BIT) London

The Bright Ideas Trust is intended to help London-based young entrepreneurs aged 16-30. The Trust will address the issue of first-time businesses failing soon after setting up, due to a lack of experience.  The Trust hopes to offer funding and advice to around 365 new businesses per year.

Grant:           £5,000 – £20,000 (coupled with expert advice)

B&Q Waste Donation Scheme

B&Q operates a Waste Donation Scheme throughout  all their UK stores.  B&Q donates unsaleable products and waste materials for re-use such as slightly damaged tins of paint, off-cuts of timber, odd rolls of wallpaper and end-of-range materials. Donated products should benefit the local community and the environment.

B&Q cannot guarantee the suitability of re-using the products.  Under no circumstances can groups resell any donated waste.

Austin and Hope Pilkington Trust

Team London Small Grants

Team London small grants are available for voluntary sector organisations – you are invited to submit an expression of interest, to increase the impact of your volunteering activity within one of the three priority areas:

 Grant: up to £10,000
Deadline for completed applications:  is 5pm on 15 August 2011.

Organisations with a turnover of up to £250,000 pa that submit an expression of interest will be sent an application form and guidance on how to apply.

Ladies of Virtue New Horizon
