FUNDING INFORMATION

•  The Innovation Fund is a new one-off grant that is provided by Southwark Council’s Health and Community Services department.   Grants are available to local groups to run projects that enable older and disabled people to live independently within Southwark. Deadline: 5 Sept 2011
• JACT Fund is available for projects to fill gaps in provision for disadvantaged young people in London – it is available for Charities, Community Interest Companies and Constituted community Groups.  Deadline: 9 Sept 2011.

TRAINING

• PVSF and CAS will running a one day, Collaboration Workshop focusing on working Together for Better Results. All welcome to attend.  Is partnership working an option you would consider?   Date: 22 Sept 2011

• NHS – Help us to shape the future of health services in Southwark – come and help us plan changes to local health services including access, choice, urgent care and developing community alternatives to hospital based services.
• Contemporary Dance Workshop intoduces techniques, such as improvisation, contact improvisation, somatic exercises and body-mind centering.  Every Saturday – £2.50.

• The Stroke Association High Voltage Abseiling is a fundraising event, where your support is required to make it a success.  A 100ft charity abseil from Battersea Power Station.  Event Date: 19-20 Nov 2011. 

GENERAL INFORMATION

• The Peckham Settlement is looking for a Volunteer Language Exchange Coordinator to coordinate and undertake the administrative task of a language exchange programme, with the intention of bringing people together who are interested in learning new languages.
• Southwark Council, as Trustee of the Livesey building in Southwark, is seeking expressions of interest from organisations for the viable long-term use of the building to benefit local communities
