FUNDING
- Guys and St Thomas’ NHS – is providing Small Grants for Sexual Health Projects. Available for voluntary or community group operating in Lambeth or Southwark, who are you able to provide a high quality service in promoting positive sexual health? Grants: £1,000. Deadline: 16 Jan 2012 (noon)
- GlobalGiving UK and CAS will be hosting the ‘Online Fundraising Workshop’. Since 2002 GlobalGiving UK has been helping organisations throughout the world raise funds online. Date: 13 Jan 2012
- The Near Neighbours is a christian charity and was set up to help people of different faiths come together to change their neighbourhoods for the better. Grant: £250 – £5,000. Deadline: Mar 2012.
TRAINING
- PVSF will be hosting an ‘Evaluation Framework Workshop’ which will be delivered by Steve White. This will assist organisation to develop an evaluation framework to produce an evaluation to link your aims and objectives to outputs and outcomes – to measure long term impact. Date 28 Jan 2012
- Creative Innovation will be running FREE e-Business Start Up Training, this is designed to equip those who wish to start a business on the Internet. It will teach you all you need to know and introduce you to some very useful services and resources. 24 & 25 Jan 2012
- This IT Tools Training session is FREE and funded by London Councils and delivered by Superhighways, it will cover a selection of IT tools including the eventbrite booking system thay you will use to book your place on this this course! Date: 29 Feb 2012
EVENTS
- Flipside Peckham’s Launch - we are a campaign about changing the national media’s negative perception of Peckham. We will be having our Launch and would like residents of Peckham to attend to have their voices heard and to assist in persuading national media to see the positive side of Peckham. Date: 21 Jan 2012
- Peckham Settlement will be hosting a SE-Skills Market, come and see what local opportunities there are to use and increase your skills. Date: 24 Jan 2012
- South London Black Music Archive: invites you Peckham Space to listen to share and contribute your memories of black music in south London. We will be accepting CDs, records, memorabilia and more for display in the gallery space and hope to see you at the public Event. Date: 17 Jan – 25 Mar 2012
- Join Southwark Day Centre for Asylum Seekers (SDCAS) for its fundraising Winter Concert on Saturday 21 Jan 2012.
Community Council Meetings:
Peckham – Will be held at Tues, 10 Jan 2012 at 6.30pm
St Luke’s Church Hall, Chandler’s Way SE15The Welcome Choir will be performing, the agenda will include discussing the new conservation area, Southwark budget 2012/2013, Veolia Recycling and more.
Nunhead - Will be held on Thurs, 12 Jan 2012 at 7pm
St Mary Magdalene CE Primary School, 48 Brayard’s Road SE15 3RAThe agenda will include looking at the new adult social care web pages, provide an update about the new recycling facility and to shake a leg with Carl Campbell’s ‘Recycled Teenager’.
