We would like the community of Peckham and Nunhead to support the achievements of young people from the Peckham BMX Club and for the development of a new and bigger training facility at Burgess Park for these youngsters.
Why you should support this campaign?
- To help promote Peckham other than an area for crime
- To raise awareness that the young riders are British BMX Champions
- To be part of a success story which can motivate every young person in Peckham
- To develop more facilities for young people in Peckham and Southwark
- To get a 2012 Olympic champion for Peckham
How can you help?
We would like you to sign our petition. We will then communicate your responses to key Southwark MP's and Councillors.

In September 2009 the Mayor of London announced the launch of ten Low Carbon Zones across London. Southwark Council has been awarded £280,000 to invest in saving energy and reducing carbon emissions.
By 2012 the Peckham Low Carbon Zone aims to reduce its carbon emissions by 20.12%.
What Next
A Low Carbon Zone presents an opportunity to reduce carbon emissions and to save money on energy bills. There is funding available for community groups to apply for small initiatives to reduce carbon emissions via the Peckham Low Carbon Zone Community Chest scheme.
Over the next few months residents may receive a number of questionnaires from Southwark Council asking for information. This is to ensure what is delivered responds to the needs of local residents and businesses.
