Young People can attend the theatre Free of Charge

The Arts Council is running a scheme, which will provide a marvellous opportunity for young people to attend the theatre free of charge.

About the initiative
Arts Council England in association with Metro brings you the new scheme, A Night Less Ordinary. Launched in February 2009 the scheme offers thousands of free theatre tickets to anyone under 26 for all sorts of theatre events including comedy, tragedies, musical theatre, dance, modern mime, plays, circus and much more. There are more than 200 venues participating throughout England and you can search them all from the home page: http://www.anightlessordinary.org.uk/

About the Arts Council
Arts Council England works to get great art to everyone by championing, developing and investing in artistic experiences that enrich people’s lives.

As the national development agency for the arts, we support a range of artistic activities from theatre to music, literature to dance, photography to digital art, carnival to crafts.

Great art inspires us, brings us together and teaches us about ourselves and the world around us. In short, it makes life better.

Between 2008 and 2011 in excess of 1.6 billion of public money from the government and the National Lottery will be invested  to create  experiences for as many people as possible across the country.

How to get tickets
It’s really easy - just type in your area or postcode to search participating theatres near you. Have a look at what’s on offer and grab your tickets quick - before someone else does!
